Songs that follow you everywhere..?
Are such songs necessarily significant? When songs follow you, does that mean that the lyrics are a message that you need to hear, or? I often have trouble discerning whether these types of synchronicties are very meaningful, or just a little nod from the universe.
There is a song called "Song for Zula" that I am always coming across. (It's by one of the more obscure indie bands; not very well known.) I don't remember what was happening in my life each time I heard it-- if I did, I might have more insight. Coincidentally (a pretty bizarre coincidence, really), I had been planning to legally change my name to "Zula"/Zulabelle", even before I heard this song.
It's a very beautiful but melancholic song with cryptic lyrics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPxQYhGpdvg
"See the cage, it called. I said, come on in
I will not open myself up this way again
Nor lay my face to the soil, nor my teeth to the sand
I will not lay like this for days now upon end
You will not see me fall, nor see me struggle to stand
To be acknowledged by some touch from his gnarled hands
You see the cage it called. I said, come on in
I will not open myself this way again"
Do any of you have songs that follow you? How do you interpret them? I feel like the more ominous ones can perhaps be foreshadowing things in one's life..

interesting. why not imagine that you are headed towards happy things?
then the "non-ominous" ones would be foreshadowing for you.
move towards your fulfillment, then you'll be moving towards happiness.
(that's my advice, decide on your own pathway obviously)
here's a randomly chosen song for you:

Oh, no I didn't mean foreshadowing negative things per se! (unless of course its somehow warning you of something) I suppose I meant, say, signaling the arrival of new life phases (which could very well be negative or strange, though not bad necessarily) or even just life themes. Like when Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" followed me shortly after a psych ward stint!
Thank you for the song! (The video is lovely, I'd never seen it before) I quite like Of Monsters & Men. Their song "Yellow Light" is nice too.

Me too!!!!
Very often a song will be telling me to do something.... or go see someone in particular...just...something! It's almost uncanny....
And when that song get stuck in my head for hours...sometimes days....its letting me know...pay attention idiot!!! This is something you really need to do or think about!
The last two days I've had an old song from the 70"s stuck in my head.....all day....all night!!!..
.....Burning Bridges by the Mike Curb Congregation....this song is about regrets and realizing how you should have treated people important to you....after a couple of days...i know exactly who its trying to tell me about.......time to contact them......

The songs are definitely meaningful. Whether it is synchronicity or the songs that play in your head, there is a message for you there.

There are forces around us all the time that use different methods to get our attention. We tend to over analyze often, as we are driven to find meaning in everything. My advice is to take note of things that repeat, as this is the most profound way for your guides to communicate with you. Be aware of repetition, but don't look into completely understanding the meaning. Making notes in a journal is the best way to keep up with these messages, as you can look back and see patterns in things that you may forget otherwise. Just be open to it, and it will happen enough that you will get to a point where you just smile and acknowledge it.
