What is the most interesting thing you have ever found?

There is an inscription inside but it is not enough of a clue to find out the owner.

I still don't know how to return it.

Fortunate you!

One place we live when I was a kid: an Indian tribe ,in the not too far past, would sit up their hunting camp on the southern end of our property. I assume there were lots of Indian relics on that land, but I never looked. I didn't know the history of the land till way after I left home.

When they were rebuilding the local railway, I found part of what looked like a Roman relief. It was too big and heavy for me to lift so I left it in place and told my history teacher about it.

Cue a whole museum delegation descending on that part of the tracks, but unfortunately, they didn't find it, so did I really?
