I DONT BELIEVE IT !!!!!!
What don't you believe , can't get your head around ???
Only because I've been looking in Yorkshire to do a tree dedication for the grandkids for their Grandad have I only today seen that allegedly "Middlesbrough " is in Yorkshire ?????Are you kidding me ???
This can't be. Since when ?
I thought it was either in in midlands ( near Lincolnshire ) or in Tyneside ( near Newcastle )..
Did anyone else in the UK know it was in Yorkshire ??

Yes I knew because when my uncle was alive he had friends from all over the world and he used to ask me to write his Christmas cards for him
he had about 6 or 7 from Middlesbrough in yorkshire

I seriously can't get my head round it.
Of course I have heard of Middlesbrough , but never in a million years did I think it was in Yorkshire.
This is even worse than finding out Egypt is in Africa. |

It used to be in the county of Cleveland until about 1996, then the county boundaries were changed and other echelons of local government were introduced. It then became ‘North Riding of Yorkshire.’

It is the same here the Government changed the Boundries so place that were once with us are not anymore yet they rely on us stupid isnt it

I've even been messaging my husband at work !
I've asked him where Middlesbrough is , he said it's in Cleveland .
( He worked further north a lot )
