How to see auras?

Hi, just wondering if anyone who can see auras has a certain technique that works best when trying to see other peoples energy fields. I have tried countless times to see, and have asked for help from my guides to be able to accomplish it. I can usually see a faint light around the persons body I focus on, about two inches off of the surface of their body, like a faint glow. I'm not sure what it is. But I cannot see the aura itself. Any suggestions what I could do?

That glow is what I see with my eyes open...but if after concentrating and close my eyes I can pick up the color for a few seconds...I am hoping with practice I won't have to close my eyes at all. Hope this helps.

thank you I will try, I have a busy mind I often find it hard to concentrate as I question myself too much. Need to meditate more I guess. But thanks I will try this method.

You can also look inside your mind as there are two types of clairvoyance. Usually people think the things you can actually see with your eyes but if you are an imaginative person you likely are clairvoyant too. Because imagination is the portal to other worlds, if you allow yourself you can see that way. In fact in my own case my inner vision is so strong it's like I'm seeing it literally with my own eyes even when I'm not. But I do see things literally with my eyes too, that takes a specific wiring of the brain and eyes for that to happen and I think comes with past life experience more than anything, if you can tap into that.

But everyone has the potential to develop inner vision. Just allow a picture to come to your mind, don't force it. If you practice this way it'll certainly be easier.

With my physical eyes I too see a shimmery glow around the person but usually not color.
For me, I see, hear or feel the aura with my inner senses. I am usually shown a color(s) or I feel the aura and interpret what I feel.

Try closing your eyes and ask to be shown the persons aura. Trust the first thing you receive.

Indigo444, I can relate to the "busy mind" thing. I've heard some people call it drunk monkey brain. Meditation is said to help but I haven't been meditating long enough or regularly enough to comment on this. I know personally I second guess myself constantly so it's hard to relax and trust intuition. My mother and I went to visit some of the vortex's in Sedona, AZ about a year ago. She's been able to see auras since our trip.....
