Let's learn Buddhism together

Instead of arguing all the time about one topic or another how about we actually work together and learn it?

Here is a very respected Buddhist website with an amazing amount of in-depth information.

Maybe we could start here with the Types of Buddhism.

https://studybuddhism.com/en/tibetan...es-of-buddhism

And then move on to another section such as:

https://studybuddhism.com/en/tibetan...-enlightenment

Path to Enlightenment

The Tibetan Buddhist path of self-transformation follows clear, structured stages known as the lam-rim. The lam-rim provides us with the knowledge of how to progress from our current situation to the state of Buddhahood.

If there is a different section that someone would like to start on the website I am more than open to the suggestion.

Right, instead of arguing with you your opponents may as well drop it and go where you try to direct them.

Mahayana is the most widely practiced form of Buddhism in the world. Study Buddhism is a respectable website and a good place to learn.

If you have another as in depth I am open.

Better to learn then fighting all the time about basic stuff.

Everybody knows better then everyone else. That's perfect. There is no fighting.

Arguing means one is attached to controlling what others are. If one does not want to argue, then let others be whatever they want.
Don't think of yourself as an authority over others. Really we are all unique so it's unrealistic to expect others to think the same as us.

The art of conversation...

..... many forms of Buddhism developed, each with its own unique approach and style, but all retaining the most essential features of the teachings. I can see how all three listed do provide a more complete awareness of the whole self even as they are listed as specific ways as a stand alone and way of practicing the teachings. Reading through each one, I see that all three in my own experience of opening deeper to all aspects of myself, actually could play a vital role in opening up parts of us that we might still be unaware we are conditioned by. So even as each one has its own specific way to practice, with the essential features of the teachings at the core, the practice of each one definitely shows me how changing up the practice would support to integrate differently the teachings so we don't become to reliant on one form and the body adjusting to that method of practice. Like any thing changing things up, can shake up those parts of us still stuck in our comfort zone and familiarity of being, believing there is nothing more to grow into..

Right now I am very much interested in chant and my voice, which is opening me to clear out any conditioned patterns so I am able to speak more open and with direct clarity..(Face to face practice more so, as that challenges me to learn it with full exposure) For me the integration and going deeper into the whole self as a total way of being and living this, is what I seek. So every part of my self comes into this picture of integration.

This is not about authority and it doesn't matter that we are each unique.

Buddhism has accepted teachings with accepted meaning.

It is learning what it is from an accepted source. I'm not the teacher the website is.

We are just talking about the different sections.

So just like learning a subject in school. We all may be unique but we can all come to understand the facts of things.

The very first thing in the Path to Enlightenment:

Quote:
It is often said that Buddha gave 84,000 teachings, because what he taught was so varied and vast in topic and scope. While we can greatly benefit from reading the various sutras, it’s often difficult to extract the essence of the teachings in a way that truly benefits us. Here, we look at how Indian and Tibetan masters have done the work for us, organizing the entirety of Buddha’s message into a step-by-step program, known as “lam-rim” in Tibetan, which we can follow all the way to enlightenment.

This is very important and I bet we will see this again.

In another words the Buddha would teach different things to different people. Higher teachings for those ready for them and basic teachings for those just starting out.
