I think every people have theirs ways of meditation. At first, I recommend your to understand what meditation is. Because almost all people only think that they know... but they don't. For it I recommend to read a crossing or the drop's history by Anatoliy Obraztsov and then I think you'll understand what meditation is for you and you'll choose the right technique for you!

Un-clutching the Ultimate Meditation
Hi,
There are many philosophical explanations to meditations, but you seem to want to try it from some particular results. What you need is a meditation technique, an actual procedure to follow into a meditation. If you want a simply technique:
utube.com/watch?v=dQGzzkNyG_E
The above link is to a meditation technique that is very good to start with. To start; listen to the understanding of the meditation technique, and then listen to the instructions, and just unclutch
Here is a meditation you can read about and follow the steps. This first link is the explanation of the 5 steps of the meditation and the second link is the audio for you to sit and listen to as you meditate, you will see that the 4 step is actually the simple meditation technique above.

Please reply to me if you have any questions.

When you sit ,you have to feel your best without resistance ,
i recommends calm guiding or none guiding brain wave meditation music ,
you can find anything you want on youtube .
When you sit , try to let your two feet connect together so the whole body is in relation and can flow well in the meditation .

There's really no "best" universal way, everyone uses different techniques, and we sometimes need to try a few to see what works best for us. For the beginning, try not to be too ambitious and plan sessions that are not too long (20 minutes) so you don't get bored or lose your focus. I personally feel that guided meditations are ideal for beginners (a voice guides you and helps you visualize your chakras, parts of your body, a relaxing landscape) as they help keep the mind focused on something and doesn't leave too much room for "parasite" thoughts. Let us know how your sessions go!
