It is as real as you make it.
The question is, do you really want to make it real for you ?
What seems to be "A money scam" for some, is very real exchange of energies for others.
Never underestimate the Power of your Decision combined with Desire and Intention.
For the people who feel as being scammed, they lacked one of the above. And only decision to do it (read giving the money) is not enough for it to work.
And of course a word of warning, now that you know the basic behind it:
"Take the time to Think about what you want to do to others, because it may backfire and then it will return to you."
Or in other words: "Do to others only what you want others do to you"
