Winter Solstice

Hello,

Anyone doing anything for Winter Solstice? I was thinking of lighting candles and give offerings.

I would like know how you celebrate Yule.

Blessed Yule,

Quills Quiver

I do a small rite celebrating the rebirth of the Sun.

It's also a time to look back on the past year and decide what I need to "leave behind" because it no longer serves and what intentions I will set for myself in the new year.

"Before me arises the perfected one I strive to become, my magical True Self

Behind me falls the one I was, and with it all my released faults and
negativity"

A very dear and special family member has a birthday on this day ( December 22nd). I will definitely be celebrating regardless, however, I will take this occasion into consideration as well.

At dawn, I invoke the Powers of the Four Lords of the Elements plus the Spirit of Gaia on a cliff top overlooking the North Sea.This has special relevence as it overlooks drowned ancestral lands from the last Ice Age. I cast my message to those ancient ancestors who are in my genes, hoping they can/could sense my message.

I saw a sunrise - it was through my rear view window of my car. My soul soared! We rarely see sunshine here at thhe mo.

I'm going to do my rituals gently and at pace, not necessarily at once.

I am in the zone of thanksgiving tho. And feel the need for much gratitude.

I plan on lighting the fire pit, but since the Winter Solstice begins at 11:49 PM tonight (December 21st) where I live, it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Yule blessings to you all.
