A 60's era no-tech sci-fantasy? drama with wonder,shadowed mystery and beauty.
He plays a mysterious retired fellow with psychic talent/wisdom and a shadowed past that's pursing him, who enters a boys life, and forever changes his reality.
A film with innuendo, subtle realistic magic, of a sort rarely made these days.
I finally rewatched it, and again loved it's gentle yet dramatic mystery, visual charm-beauty, and superb acting.

Far too many films about psychics are centered around crime-murder dramas, and high tech govt comspiracies.
This is an exception as a gentle human story of a young boy and a wise elderly man, yet with lots of mystery elements and more than sufficient drama-action to keep our attention.
Set in the 60's it has a unique ambiance and subtle storytelling magic different from most such stories.
