I consider myself a jack of all trades, master of none (haha). I pick up on information with all of my senses, sometimes I have visions, sometimes it's a word or phrase that I will hear, sometimes I will pick up on information when I touch an object, sometimes it's a smell, or phantom taste. And sometimes it's just a knowing. I'm still working on fine tuning it all.

Seriously though I have been around long enough to know that we are all more or less able to do many things. Its just we are naturally inclined towards certain
Modalities and tend to focus on what comes easiest. In addition, say someone is an energy healer. Well, there is more to that than most people realize. Most healers have to have some form of "diagnostic intuition" to know what is wrong with someone. Then they have to have a form of flowing/channeling energy.
Just my opinion here, but after searching for answers for so long, I have come to see what we consider"gifts" or "abilities" is all a manner of flowing energy. Some start out being able to read the flow of energy, some start out able to manipulate the flow of energy. However, that does not mean that is all we ever can or will do, its simply our starting point.

What comes easiest to me is intuition and imagery. I guess most people would call the latter "clairvoyance", but for some reason, that word doesn't resonate well with me. I can't put my finger on why -- maybe because there are a lot of preconceived notions about what "clairvoyance" is, and it feels a bit limiting in that sense. I don't know.

But I've combined these two skills with amateur art skills and now I'm learning how to channel spirit through art.

Same here. I have been guided to understand that telepathy when appreciated as a 'shared experience' is the foundation for every other psychic ability.

The ability to sense any thing, within the self or from any where, requires a conscious awareness which can only be known when experienced.

Nothing big and exciting for me. I've always been naturally intuitive, and being an artsy, dreamy sort, imagery always came easiest. When I first set foot on my spiritual path, I relied on those two skills and began developing them. I've got a long ways to go before I consider myself "experienced", though, and I would like to branch out into other skills as I'm able.

Spiritual skills are, in my opinion, like any other skill. If you practice them, you'll develop them. It requires serious dedication. It helps if you first focus on skills that you're naturally drawn to, as it helps to build confidence. Think about your strengths: are you good with words? Pictures? Feelings? Something else? Once you figure that out, you can proceed with developing those strengths. I wouldn't worry too much about the "label" (e.g. clairvoyance, clairaudience). Experiment and explore.
