At first--when he came to me--he still smelled of death and he was so very cold. I believe it is--because his body was in the morgue and he was afraid.

I told him that he shouldn't be afraid and that he did not need to smell like that anymore--then asked him to come and lie down with me--so that we could be warm and rest.

I was so very exhausted--after weeks of tending him. He calmed-down (after a time) and acclimated to the situation--then I could feel him stroking my hair--then he was able to communicate.

I believe it is a process and some are more in-tune to it than others.

I am certain that your Mother is with you and watching-over you and just wanted you to know that she was there.

Thnkx Terra, Its been 3 years and I still haven't gotten myself together emotionally, but I'm getting there. Its a longggggg process, probably til I die myself. Its just the fact of learning to accept the emotions is what I'm learning.

Yes its real. There is a process a body is going thru when its dying. I forgot the scientific term for it but its a biological process the body goes thru when you die. Its nothing paranormal on that really. I learned that in biology when I was in high school.

I have never smell what I thought of as death. I have smelled perfume, pipe smoke even my fathers aftershave. It could be your mother visiting you , or you just having a flashback of memory of the smell. Were you dreaming of your mother when you woke up smelling it?
