Resurrected - to restore (a dead person) to life.
The earth would sure be a lot more crowded if everyone did that. But then Jesus seemed to leave the earth not too long after resurrecting. Also seems like his physical body was somehow changed or different through resurrection or perhaps the consciousness went into a different body. Corinthians says:
1 Corinthians 15:42 It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.
Some like Mary did not recognize the resurrected Jesus at first. Did he look different? Also the bible says in one part resurrected Jesus went through a locked door. Physical bodies can not do that. I think in another part it says Jesus was shining like the sun? When he appeared to some people?
