If your doctor recommends it you should, but from my knowledge a lot of the side effects throw your hormones off balance. You may be unbalanced chakra wise for a while but at least your emotions will be stable.

The reason you have negative thinking is because you haven't completely healed from the experience.
You still hold onto misconceptions and have old perceptions about yourself and the world around you that need to be released. Until you work on changing how you understand yourself and your life, you'll continue to struggle with the negative thoughts and depression. It's like sitting in a dark pool, you're not comfortable because its unpleasant but you're too afraid to climb out because outside of the darkness you don't know whats there, either because of the lack of control of the unexpected or the inability to accept the change on a subconscious level.

Until you work up the courage to let go of whatever it is inside that you allow to hold you back, these negative thoughts will never change.

Also negative thoughts are necessary, they are teaching you something you need to overcome and they stem from subconscious fears.

Every experienced negative thought is pushing you towards where you need to go. These negative thoughts are an alarm sign that something needs to change, and you need to handle things differently.

You just have to work on yourself, and overcome it one step at a time. Combat each negative thought with a positive thought. Everytime you get a negative one, think of a positive one. Eventually your positive thoughts will overcome all the negativity and your mentality will change, leaving only healthy thoughts.

It's okay to have some negative thoughts, just not overwhelmingly.

I'm sorry to hear of your struggle. I have experienced depression and I sympathize with your harrowing challenge of trying to learn to control your thinking, as depression is a battle of the mind.

The thing I have noticed myself is when we don't know who we are, what we should do, who we should be, are in bad situations, dealing with loss and/or separation, struggling to survive, having money problems, of course we are going to feel down, feeling down then leads to feeling sad and hopeless which then leads to depression. Sadly people who are depressed in my humble opinion don't need drugs to put a band aid over the real root cause of the issue or problem at hand, they need help and support from people who are not afraid to try to understand or care, not patronizing therapy sessions where one who is depressed just ends up feeling like they are not strong enough or capable of functioning without being effected like a large majority of human beings today, because that just emphasizes and reaffirms how depressed one actually is in that moment. It's people who care enough to stop bullshi**ing others by projecting this fake, unrealistic portrayal of life where they have no problems and are too strong minded and optimistic to ever experience anything that could rattle, shake or break them. People who will not chastise or make fun of someone who has lost all lust for life because they are not living life to the fullest. Pretend smiles are painful, its the person who cares enough to just go and sit with someone who's having a bad day, that person who remembers your birthday even though your not celebrating it, the person who remembers what you use to love to do once upon a time and recreates it for you reminding you that you are just as worthwhile and deserving of time, care and unconditional love as anyone else on this world regardless of how you are feeling.

Taking SSRI's didn't help me, I needed to heal from hurt, sadness and pain. I was fortunate to come across a brilliant spiritual healer who helped me absolve so much guiding me on a path to self healing. I know many people feel better for taking these pills and I think if you feel terrible you owe it to yourself to try anything that is legal and could possibly make you feel better. If they don't help you at least you tried. I strongly feel that drugs whether prescribed or otherwise will not clear or balanced you chakra's. You need to release whatever is causing the imbalance within you emotionally. I encourage that you seek a spiritual healer and/or someone who can spiritually council/advise/guide you for it is the soul not the human self that needs to be healed.

My thoughts are with you. May you be blessed with the support, understanding and hope that you require to get you through.

Remember this chapter is only one of many

I can't say whether or not SSRIs help with chakra healing; I don't have much to teach about energy yet. But I do know a lot about psychology and psychiatry and I do recommend to try a SSRI if nothing else worked for you.

Negative emotions perpetuate themselves by reinforcing the neural networks that created them in the first place. They also throw your life off balance by messing with your relationships, your focus, your energy levels etc. Being on meds for a while can stop the negative spiral and can give you a break long enough to start therapy, meditation, reading, healing and so on. You can work on your chakras while on SSRIs; these are not mutually exclusive. And if the pills don't work for you, you can quit them. There's a withdrawal period, but they don't have permanent effects on your brain or body.

But you should remember (most psychiatrists will tell you this) that meds alone are not enough. You need to change your mindframe and thought-pattern- it takes time, but you can achieve it.

Medication makes things worse from an energy point of view. Problems just go deeper in your being. The only way to move forward and clear blocks in chakras is to face your issues. Homeopathy, crystal healing, Bach flowers or hands on healing will help you be more conscious of yournissues.

If it is your intention to use this medicine to get better, to get healthier, and to heal your mind/body/spirit, than yes, it will help. As energy practitioners will tell you, that intention is the first step in healing. Healing also follows thoughts. Guided visualizations use intention and imagery to heal and clear.

If this medicine is what can help you in this struggle you are in, then use it. Use it as the tool that it is. Then continue to follow your healing path, using other forms, such as Reiki, or crystals, or sounds. Etc. And in time you may not need the medicine at all. But if it's something you need at this time, then you should do what is best for you.

I think that medication, therapy, and spiritual healing can work together when used properly. I use medications to help put me in the right mindset so that I can better heal myself. While the medications probably don't do anything to your chakras on their own, they can help set the groundwork for healing if you don't know where to start.
