Usually when my mind is wandering or I'm zoning out I just see it usually as a small sphere

ahh, that sounds suspiciously like an "orb".
does it move about at all?
if it's simply stationary, then we may just
be talking about your physical vehicle.
it might be a phenomena similar to
certain optical illusions... like, stare at a
patch of green for thirty seconds, then look
at a white surface (your mind will create a color).

well, if you were to turn your head, would it stay put, or seem to shift location
(remaining in sight, at the same spot in your visual field)?
if it moves with you, then it's almost certainly a 'feature' of your vision
(not "something out there").
it doesn't seem to be anything to worry over. i've had periods where it
seemed like the world was bathed in a warm yellow shade.
