It's not just the belief in Satan that may cause mental illness. It's about anything that is beyond our understanding. God as well. Humans fear what they don't understand. That's why they always try to make up figures about the things like God and Satan.

Yeah Blaze I understand what your saying...  Man's theologies are just theories of what they think God is and well man is flawed and so very often is the understanding of God. No one really knows...   So they also try to do the same with evil/satan. |

People who have a belief in God and the good also could have a mental illness. So yeah people who believe in the devil of course can as can belief in God.

yep, Spiritlite I think any belief can be taken to extremes, to unhealthy levels.  |
