Moonstones?

I've worn a moonshine for about three years now on the same chain. Twice now I've tried to put something else on the chain with it. One was a very light metal firefly.....within a day or so the chain broke.
Then recently I found an opal, also very light.....by that night the chain fell from my neck. The chain is sturdy enough but I'm beginning to get the idea that the moonstone doesn't want to share space. Lol

Any thoughts on this? By the way its been on my neck alone for three days now with no problems.

I do think that sometimes some stones don't want to share space. I have a gorgeous citrine that feels that way. It's possible that the other stones or objects interfere with its energy workings...get into its field. My citrine doesn't mind if I have other stones on my body, but it wants the solar plexus area all to itself.
