That's great. My mother was sent to Sweden 1940 as a war child. I don't speak a word finnish. Last time I visited Oulu was 1986.

Wow! I have read stories of the war children! It is amazing that the children were sent to Sweden to safety - we are tied in so many ways, neighbour...  |

Yes. I have also heard many horrible stories told by my grandmother who lived through the wartimes. Though so near, Sweden was a complete different world, really. As you say, we are tied in so many ways!

I was born in Greensburg; grew up not far from there. Even closer to Irwin and Jeannette.
