A song from the river to me

]A song which I wrote, inspired by an evening swim in the river near my house. The river always inspires a song.

----------------------------------------
The river holds me in
The night....
Without the clearest sight,
horizons - pass me by
Full of gold...

Quick sands of time...
They pass me by.

Oh time, it
Flies
Through the night -
Passing me by...

Oh time, it
Flies -
Over the night
Passing my
By....

The river holds me
In the night...

As I hear
The sounds
Which echo -

My clearest
Sight...

(in the watery darkness
Light comes to life,
Velvety water
Holds me in the night).

----------------------

Joey Rainbow.

----------------------

I have lots of visions of those deep sea fishes with lights on their heads
-------------------

I saw no fishes today but I did see an osprey perched underneath the bridge above my head.

Ariaecheflame,

I will think of your beautiful blended poem all day. Thank you for sharing. And I am pretty sure I saw your rapture friend at my house last week!

You share such beauty. I think I would like to be friends with chameleons, lizards and dragons. But if I could be anything, I would be a Beluga whale. I heard they have a great sense of humor.

I hope you had a lovely vacation.

The eagle pic was so large it made my thread look so stretched out!

I love the animal visitors I get though so I didn't let the widened format stop me from honouring my osprey visitor

Hello Anala
Thanks for stopping by, it is nice chat animals with you!
The osprey is a bird which seems to have a fairly broad distribution across our globe... How cool that we can both have the same animal visitors from different parts of our world

Funny that you mentioned the Beluga because just before I posted on here earlier I was watching a video of a bagpiper serenading an appreciative beluga haha!

My dog seems to quite enjoy howling along when I play violin. He prefers the violin to the harmonica and the ukulele. I guess the violin sounds most like a pack of howling wolves than a ukulele does!

My mother used to yodel to her herd of goats... Lol...

I like otters for their playfulness and humour haha... Animals like music and have a sense of humour - we have more in common then we realise!

Disorientation in the Nations

Motion is constant,
It moves me with or
Without consent...
I swerve into a sea
Of sensation in a bid
To quell the overwhelm...

I shake until I am once again
Remember the home within
Myself...
The need to be
Free of this
Body - yet
Part of the flesh -

I want to meet me somewhere
In the middle of
Bliss and torment.

My senses are drawn
Into the universe -
Music excites me,
Calms me,
Awakens me,
Sends me to sleep...
Where my technicolor
dreams never end.

When regular folk
Try and bend the rules...
I have already broken
Without even knowing.

Where regular folk are showing restraint -
I am dying from the need to tame
These visions and dreams
These sights and sounds...
These sensations and lamentations...

Where my body fights my soul
To hold onto this realm -
Where the realm fights my soul
To hold onto this world...

A world which has
No reference point...
Where systems make no sense
Where the main points of
Your social
morals have no consequence
Other then disorientation...

Where nations rise and fall
Fight - and maul
The life -
The light out of the world...

I watch, I observe...
I never speak a word...
Your actions disorientate me...
Am I and people like me

Your blessing or your curse?
Is my presence here
Random or rehearsed?

Stanisvlasky
-----------------------

Mental reasoning
Seems to separate you
From empathy...

Have you heard of Stanisvlasky?

He was a white man...

Basically you put yourself in someone's else's shoes...

You do what they would do
Feel what they would feel...

Become one with who they are...
Walk a mile in their shoes...

At no point would you judge them untill

You understand just a tiny
Morsel of what they might feel.

If you have never walked an inch in
Someone else's shoes...

You still have no place to judge them...

Until you have fulfilled your role to
Become them in order to
Understand them...

Talk to them...
Empathise and
Become human...
On an Indvidual level...
Separate yourself from the herd
Become a voice of
Compassion which
Is heard.

Until then...

You cannot claim to know how their lives
Would be benefited by your word...
Instead it is assumed you
Seek to hurt...

Never assume to know...

Until you know.

Never inflict your self

Presumed rghts upon us

Until you

Know what we know,

Until you feel what we feel....

You have no right.

I stand fearlessly in
My power and sing...

New hymns -

Songs which reflect a new world...

The old words are dying.

Anarchist....

Still part of the system...

Yet not killing myself to be a part of it...
Not killing myself to fit in...

Unafraid of being rejected by a system
Which rejecects me...

Which systematically assumes power over

Those people they presume weak....

What is it that you seek ...

From the presumption of weakness?

Do you wish your courage would allow you
The same

Vulnerability and strength of personal

Conviction?

You play identity politics ...

Does that mean you are afraid to

Stick to the truth of your

Truest convictions?

Your own identity?

You call me weak...

Yet I stand before you

As you seek to claim me...
Someone
Completely accepting of myself...

Why does that scare you?

Why does my truth
Make you feel
Conflicted....

It seems that my identity
Consumes you and

Distracts you
From yourself...

Your weakness.

The reflections
Of our outpouring
And distortions
Of egos so interpreting

Do they impact
Our consciousness
Do we contract
Our Divine awareness

These live streams of

awareness and song

Inspired you

Like nothing else before....

I saw tears in the

corner of your eyes...

Transformed for a second

Into another realm...

As quickly as you arrived -

You forgot yourself

As quickly as you departed...

You remembered the

Reality of the world...

It was easy to slot yourself

Right back into the world

The way that it has existed for

So long...

In a dream

You remember a world

Where all of us were powerful...

Living in a world

Where opportunity was spread

Equally.

Where equity was not

A dirty word.

We make ourselves comfortable

At the level we are at...

We try to forget the comfort

Which could be experienced

If we appeased the drive

To cease suffering....

We make peace with
The level we are at...

Never daring to bat
Above the belt of segregation.
