I was a christian-child (ugh) and at night we used to talk about the fact that God never started. He was always there. So we'd try to grasp this concept and occasionally I would 'get it' (in tiny glimpses). My stomach literally flipped in shock/excitement/horror at the reality of it. Which was 'gut' level stuff.

And that was just God not beginning, let alone not ending...

Alas, it was always like wet soap. I could never keep hold of it and the more I grasped, the more the understanding flew into the air and landed somewhere else.

Chrysaetos, To not be able to answer a question doesn't mean existence is futile or anything like that. To me we're here to create and to love, good enough reason for me. Just keep searching for your own answers and then existence will have more meaning for you.

I'm not saying that. The fact that we have questions means that we look for a purpose. It's what makes us human.
We can go /gurumode and gloat over self-glorifying indifference, but that doesn't help.

Also would like to say..and you may totally disagree..but each of us is said to have a divine spark through which the Creator (or whatever you'd like to call it) can experience what we are experiencing...so to me that is the "force" that you spoke of that needs this awareness in order to fulfill Itself.

It sure is, Summerkat. But what's the reason behind it? I don't deny there's adventure, fun, pain, and all of that. I want to know why it's there..

Many are easily attracted to karma and earth=school doctrines. Such earthly characteristics are transformed into enchanted dream projects.

But isn't this ''force'' awareness itself, if so how so it ''needs'' it?

The force is awareness but due to our free will we can choose whatever we like to create and the Source/Force gets to experience Itself in an infinite number of ways. It becomes co-creative.
