the way I'm able to wake up is by calming myself to the point where i'm not panicking and then i wake up. Is AP something similar? or is it completely different.

Heavy feeling is different to sp. Perhaps you got both heavy feeling and sp at the same time. You got sp as you cannot move your physical body.

This morning I had lots of opportunities to get out of my body but I ignored the sensations or I messed it up. It is frustrating. I suppose it happens to us all. At least I am getting practice and I made an effort in the morning to try to ap. Lately I have not made the effort. I want to try every morning if possible.

That's exactly what happened to me the other morning. I heard this "zzzzt!" (like a bug in my ear for about 1 second) and heard it twice only. And then the lightness came all over me and I started leaving my body. It just felt like 'letting go' at that stage, and the most natural easy thing in the world. Nothing else. I didn't get far....never mind.
But the "vibrations" are not always a big deal. At first when I went out I used to get the most noisy vibrations, but get fewer sounds now.

I've heard that happens. Fewer sounds, the more you do it.

Now I am just getting snoring sounds. Perhaps it is not snoring, it is an ap sensation. I hear a snoring sound but it does not keep going. About 30 seconds later I hear another snoring sound and my mouth is closed. A little while later I hear another snoring sound. I heard it again last night but I got too hot so I stopped. Today it is Friday and I do not have to worry about going to work tomorrow. I am going to make a big effort to ap. So I do not get too tired I will mediate late in the afternoon when I get home from work. That is what I do every day of the week. I used to get tired and now I do not get tired. Very occasionally I might get tired and if I am tired I just go to sleep.

So you're thinking the snoring sounds are actually a signal?

It seems for me, I am usually already in a dream state (but not a full-on dream state if that makes sense) when I start to get the signals. My brain always makes up some storyline in response to the signals and it usually has to do something with destruction, I'm noticing. The excitement of whatever is getting destroyed has been waking me up. I'm going to try again today and see what happens.

I do not know for certain but it could be. If it is really me snoring then I must be close in getting out of my body. I just stop trying as it is getting late. It is Friday today and no work tomorrow so I will persevere with it.
