You did get to go to Africa recently...... it wasn't the Africa you are talking about. It was the northern part of Egypt. Remember? We can go to your Africa and present it in realistic fashion as was done with northern Egypt. What do you think?

Some of the landscape where I would like to visit looks similar to outback Australia.

I guess that I can view any conservation trip in the future as an opportunity to learn about different cultures as a way to hopefully broaden my awareness.

Even travelling through Australia, I learn from the different culture's all around. Even just going to someone else's house I am immersed in a culture which is different to mine.
My conservation background has taught me all about how diverse the flora and fauna communities on the planet. Human communities are a bit like that too.

I will keep an open mind to the possibilities.

Do you know I have elephants all over my house? Big ones, little one, shabby ones, even a cobalt blue bowl with elephant head handles on the sides.

My friend brought me back an elephant ornament from Gambia... Made of wood, painted black. She told me that when you place it somewhere in your house, you are supposed to have its rear end facing into the room, as it brings good luck. !!

If they were imaginary Elephants, then why is it I had to get up early every morning and pick up after them especially when they began using the road for a bathroom?
