What is the reason to teach others Buddhism ?

Recently I had a short debate with a monk who is well known teacher of Buddhism and I still cant find any reason to agree with him ..........I really hope to find out from any people who claimed as a master or teacher of Buddhism that currently teaching Buddhism in school or giving Buddhism talk for the reason that makes them have emotion to be a teacher to others .....in short I hope to learn what is the reason they teach Buddhism .

I really cant find any reason what makes Dalai Lama have emotion to be teacher to others.....................
I hope anyone here could discuss with me on this .
Thks

I guess it's the same as why a priest teaches Christianity.

If you ever become free of the illusion of this world, and experience what is called Enlightenment, then you will understand why there are those that want to tell others and point them to their own freedom, its simple being compassionate.

I don't think the Dalai Lama considers himself as a teacher?

Unless he considers himself as an enemy?

Yes that is true, but still it doesn't stop one wanting to taste life to its fullest, after all there's still the mind body organism to be lived through, and to enjoy.

Yes , that is a reason for me to believe it but it would be un-fair to others , I hope to understand their reason not to create image of them.
