Using Crystals for Various Chakras

I was curious to know if any of you use a crystal on a chakra its not recommended for. For example, amethyst on the heart chakra, black tourmaline on The crown, etc. If so could you please share some of your experiences?

Using or wearing a crystal in the vicinity of a chakra other than the one it resonates with best won't do any harm.

A lot of us wear pendants of different stones. That puts the stones near the heart chakra or throat chakra, depending on how long the pendant is. But of course, we're wearing these pendants no matter what stone(s) they contain, and no matter what chakra the stones resonate best with. It doesn't negate the help we're getting from the stone, if we're wearing it near a chakra other than the one it works best with. Just getting the stone into our personal energy field is enough.

Sometimes, we might even feel an intuitive sense that we need to put Stone X on Chakra Y, no matter WHAT stone or chakra it is. If we are working with the stones and we feel that urge, we would do well to listen to our intuition.

Something else worth knowing is that if your black tourmaline weigh ≥69gram the quartz part inside it will (amongst some "lower" fiery energies) also affect the same frequency range your amethyst otherwise would...
