Which MST3K Character Are You?
"Are you 'bot, Mad, or affable test subject?"
Okay, here's the link:
http://www.playbuzz.com/zoep10/which...racter-are-you
There are ten questions at the link. Post your results, and we'll discuss.
Hopefully most of y'all have heard of the show Mystery Science Theater 3000
My result, and it's a good one:
Quote:
Crow T. Robot
We know we want you, baby! Confused and often angry, your passions flare brightly and burn out quickly. Your clever wit often gets you in trouble, and you have a tendency to change your voice every seven years. Sometimes people inexplicably call you "Art". Your hobbies may include being in love with Kim Cattrall, writing atrocious screenplays, and confusing yourself for a Bellarian. You often panic while making sandwiches.

MST3K is a famous cable show from the 1990s. I learned about it by word-of-mouth from my sister, and with one VHS tape, I was hooked! You may be too, after watching some clips
Here's the description from Wikipedia as they do a better job, and a clip of one of their shows, to give you an idea:
Quote:
Mystery Science Theater 3000, often abbreviated MST3K, is an American cult television comedy series created by Joel Hodgson and produced by Best Brains, Inc.
The show mainly features a man and his robot sidekicks who are imprisoned on a space station by an evil scientist and forced to watch a selection of bad movies, as part of a psychological experiment, and frequently preceded by short public-domain educational films, newsreels, or serial dramas. To stay sane, the man and his robots provide a running commentary on each film, making fun of its flaws, and wisecracking their way through each reel in the style of a movie-theater peanut gallery. Each film is presented with a superimposition of the man and robots' silhouettes along the bottom of the screen. The film is interspersed with skits tied into the theme of the film being watched or the episode as a whole.

So, either absolutely no one around here has ever heard of Mystery Science Theater 3000, or, no one played the questionnaire game I linked

Oh my gosh...I got "Joel Robinson" (whatever that means!)
I'm another person who has never heard of Mystery Science Theater 3000, but I took the test, anyway
(...and I do need glasses, when I'm not wearing my contacts or going bare-eyed...which I do often, especially when I'm reading!)

Joel is a good one to get
He's the favorite of most fans and is the human that has to live on the Satellite of Love while getting tortured by the Mads (mad scientists) that work in Deep-13 by beaming atrociously-bad science fiction and horror movies to the satellite as their primary torture device. The silhouettes in front of the movie are of Joel and his two robot friends, Tom Servo and Crow.
Here's a nice little FAQ if you want to read more. There are whole episodes on Youtube if you feel adventurous
