Is my mom my angel?
I'm trying to figure out how to get in touch with my angels and if my deceased mom is one of my angels

Blessings to your Mom, Angeldeck.
I am sure your Mom does keep an eye on you and will send you love. She may even have a spiritual guidance role with you. Loved ones can be and often are Soul Family, which transcends all dimensions. You know and love each other WAY beyond this world and what happened here.
You cannot go wrong by attuning to the energy of Love. Certainly your Mom can assist you with this. Many, when they cross over, are even more focused in loving energies, now they have no barriers of Earthly and ego concerns.
This attunement to that particular frequency (pure love) will put you in touch with all sorts of things most beneficial to your Soul and your journey.
In time you might find your Mom stands back a little to allow you your independence and your personal discovery. But she will never be far from you if you both shared love.

To put it in simple terms, your mom is love. She is part of all that is.
I have guidance who I am well acquainted with and this is what I was taught. Everybody has or is creation itself. How you personify it is unique to you.
A very safe way to get in touch with your guidance is through love. Using the image of your mother and her unique energy will never hurt you.
That may not sound like a straight answer but it is truthful.
