Putting Animals In Cages?

I once had a large aviary with canaries, dear little birds they were and very happy, one day the door was left open and they escaped, I could see them flying around completely bewildered
Then next thing there was three hawks after them picking them off as they flew, I managed to save some as the fell from the sky exhausted
And I know the survivors were so pleased to be safely back in my care

nah, i disagree on the first point. i've seen instances where a dog, for example,
might wander virtually anyplace within a house, or on the grounds of it's
owners home... but will choose the kennel that is provided for it.
most creatures in the wild will tend towards limiting their travels... that's
why polar bears are rarely spotted in the tropics. i don't feel that their self
imposed limitation is evidence of a broken spirit.

on the second point: it appears that ["as a child"] i have indeed desired to be
confined in a cage for my 'whole life'... this is what i know as physical incarnation.

yes, I agree that it is not humane to keep animals in cages and they did not deserve that attitude. I would feel awful if I was kept in a cage. It is like imprison innocent beings.
