Me and the Boat

The boat is afloat
The river is a giver
I am a rider in the boat
and sometimes I row
but the river is stronger than me

So I say to the river
"I see your flow to the ocean
and the power in thee,
how you float my boat
which is a vessel for me
so powerfully

The power of life you must be
but I wonder when I make it across
the river of life
what kind of new freedoms
I may see...
