Hello
Here's a fruit you don't hear often, an osage orange. I came across it at a parking lot near a nature center with abundant trees. I only spotted one osage tree containing osage fruits. I did manage to take one home when I saw one on the ground. Initially, I had no idea what it was nor whether the fruit was edible, but after a quick search; apparently the osage seeds can only be consumed and not the fruit itself, but I'm not certain. The osage tree was highly revered in Native American cultures for making bows. Here's the fruit:
Does anyone know if this can be eaten? If so, have you consumed an osage orange before?
