Lady Elfin,
I find your accent enjoyable.
and then their is your vocabulary....... It is interesting for me to try to grasp what you are saying and it must be the same for you, vice versa.
For example, I love hearing you use the word trolley which is normally 'our' word for grocery cart. Native Spirit also uses trolley. I find it interesting when either of you, use that word.
To me, it only makes life more enjoyable.
Can you image if everybody used only cowboy lingo?

Wet ferns and leaves caressing your face as you walk by them, water dripping from the trees far above.
I've seen clovers as big as a man's fist, and ferns taller than me. Spongy moss is everywhere and thrives in these wet forests.
If it's raining, so what. In the Pacific NW you don't cancel plans because of a rain storm. The droplets are warm, soon, your hair is wet and stringy and all you can do is laugh at how silly you look to each other. If you were smart or a native you would have packed a 99 cent plastic poncho to keep your clothes at least mostly dry.
And the whole scene will cleanse your soul and fill you with cool, peaceful energy by the end of the trail.

Thank you for that tour Linen! Now that sounds amazing.. ferns taller than you! I love ferns, and mosses, streams and thick forest. You get the idea..
Cold, wet forests are the most amazing biomes.

truly, her accent is worthy to listen to...... even though she doubts herself.
I once worked for a British company and it was interesting to listen to them speak. The one accent I had a hard time understanding was from one of my brother-in-laws who originally was from southern Ohio, USA!

I've no idea... I haven't had her on the phone..
I'll trust your judgement, John.

I don't know the names for each accent, I'll have to look into it..
I've been to southern England, all the way to the end. And been to Wales. I liked Snowdonia..
I enjoy all the small pubs and taverns, the hedges and hills... In a way it feels like you're in Lord of the Rings.

Brill , yes chezzas Accent is further north than where I am. Can I tell you a little story ?... A true one. A famous actor from the "south " of England , who had never been outside of London in his life ... Got a role in a very popular series, which was filmed in the North Yorkshire Moors. As he travelled through the Moors he said ..and I quote "" I cannot get over the beauty of all of this.. I never knew that such places existed in the UK... """" And that was a programme called "heartbeat" ... Filmed in a place called "goathland" very close to Whitby.

We've had good rain this spring. At the moment I'm sitting in the yard looking over the vegetable patch. Our tomatoes are booming but for some reason they haven't got many flowers this year. I suppose in a couple of months we'll find out how we went.
