Lostgirl is correct there is no white or black or any other color of Magick imo that is more of a "New age" concept and has nothing to do with true magick.
Even curses with intent and purpose focused in the right way is not necessarily evil. Because it balances out its all a balance even if we are unbalanced nature and cause will balance it for us.

Hollywood has sure made a mess of Wicca and Witchcraft. I see such good vs evil lines drawn everywhere when it comes to witchcraft and spell work displayed for the masses. It's much like eating display cake at a bakery: yeah, the icing and decorations look edible, but, one cannot quite get past the cardboard. The way I practice spell work is based on my feeling of open or closed. It does me no good to work spell work closed off (whether I'm having an off day or not well or have strong emotion) because then it's motion without dedication and it's somewhat self defeating. Working open minded can and often brings in itself a sort of meditation quality which is always positive :).
