TAO - Chronicles p(1)
It began as an interest in kung fu movies....
My friend S and I are definitely aligned when it comes to interest in development of skill - and after years of skateboarding we came (in our own respective ways) to Taoism - not stopping there, moreso remembering that these skills were ours; mastered, in a previous life.
One of the books that guided me into recognizing what was formerly known as impossible in the spectra of human capabilities through the Tao, was "Chronicles of the Tao: the secret life of a Taoist Master" I recommend it as a good supplement to entering whatever sort of practice you are in (hopefully a moving practice such as Tai Chi), and a good precursor to advanced study
