What good thing happened to you today?

Let's focus on good things happening to our lives every day...

Here I start,

Today, as I was on te road to gym, a friend that I haven't seen for years called me to tell me he was coming to my town and we set up a coffee time

I needed eye surgery, and found out that my insurance company will do it free of charge, and without a waiting period. My vision will be restored to the point that I won't need glasses!

Today i realized that 2 years from now, a repented fallen angel will successfully banish the demon that is currently inside me, after analyzing a vision i had in 2005.

The feral cat I took in to be fixed...been feeding outside since last Winter...
won't
let anyone touch him...I let him out of the cage to heal in my workshop
(I'm an artist) ...and he dropped at my feet wanting to be petted!!
What? He isn't feral!
I told all the neighbors that know him.

He is so hungry for affection it is shocking!
So I'm keeping him and he will have a warm house this Winter, yay!
Such a sweet guy.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Last night, I was cleaning a big (24x36", or 60x90cm) piece of tempered glass I use to mix printing inks on--when it slipped, fell, and shattered into countless tiny pieces.

I started to get mad at myself for not keeping a better grip on it, and even got mad at the glass for being so slippery and for breaking! How dare it!--but I stopped myself and said, "No, there's nothing to get mad about. You got that one for free, and you'll get another one the same way." I cleaned up the mess, went on to do something else, and didn't think about it any more.

Walking home from my bus stop this afternoon, I passed by a pile of discarded furniture in front of an apartment building--and there, in the pile, was a big piece of tempered glass almost the same size as the one I broke. It was originally the top of a cheap, ugly coffee table, which had a broken leg and wasn't worth fixing, so the whole thing was being thrown away. The building manager pulled up in his truck as I was wrestling it out of the pile, and offered to give me a lift home with it if I'd help him load the furniture on his truck. No problem! I was happy to do it, and we both got something good out of the deal.

Lots of cool synchronicities and happenings so far...

I got a good start on a project that I've been putting off for a long time today. Simple, but satisfying.

It's always wonderful waking up to a new day, to a healthy family...
having the satisfaction of being able to feed and provide for them, yet another day....to exchange thoughts with dear friends, to encourage one another in difficult times...
These are all good things that happen on a daily basis, but we sometimes get caught up in only the bad....

So, this is a good place for reflection...thanks, ippocrates.

My kid's beloved cat, Keelig, was missing for five days. We almost gave up hope, but he came home today! He was really hungry, and beaten up, but basically okay! I can't even express how happy it made all of us!
