Hey Softkittylover.

Im sorry to hear you are in pain, but all i can sujest to you is to go back to your doctor, and tell him the tablets you are on are not working,go as far as asking to see a gynocologist if you dont get anywhere

Is PCOS pain -period pain? Or something else?

I used to have bad period pain. It was like birth contractions, every month for at least 1 day. I could not move, could not do one thing except lie there and pant.
My dh got me some Ibuprofen -which were new drugs in those days! I tell you, the first two I took worked within 1 hour, and I was incredibly grateful. I took 2 every 4 hours, and it was wonderful!

But Ibuprofen is dangerous if there is any blood clotting disorder, if there is stomach inflammation, IBS, high blood pressure, or anything like that. Also it's recommended to take it with food.
It might be wise to call your doctor and discuss this with him/her first.

Thanks guys,

PCOS is Polysistic ovary syndrome, its where you get cysts on your ovaries and they can be pretty painful ...ouch!

I am ok today thank God and I attend a endrocronologist which is like a hormone doctor ...she gave me ponston...that seems to help a lot!

Oh I understand now. I am sorry I didn't get it SoftKittyLover. That is a painful situation so I have heard.
I wonder if professional Herbal treatment might help? A consultation with a qualified Medical Herbalist might give you some answers....? I don't know, but it might be worth a shot.

I have this disorder and was on aldactone for a year and a half.It helped.
However, though you need to see the endocrinologist regularly till it goes in remission/subsides; in the long term you have to work hard to bring your insulin levels down. This happens when you cut out all processed and junk food, white flour and sugar, eat sensibly to keep your blood sugar stable, workout hard and introduce weight training and yoga into your routine if you haven't already done so. Some yoga asanas like gomukhaasana and ardhamatsyendrasana work on the pancreas to help address insulin resistance which is probably a cause of pcos. Kapalbhati pranayama is a helpful breathing technique as well.It may take a while but the effort to find a long term solution is worth it as I've found out.

pcos

I don't know anything about the pain, but I take 2 cinnamon tablets and vitex every morning. It has helped with some symptoms, especially hair loss. I didn't know they prescribed anything for the pain, I'll have to research that.
