Hi scotch,
You may be interested that Seth explains that sometimes very high spirits
get tired (helping others so much in multiple dimensions)
and will live in a tree for 100s of years to just rest.

My friend has a benevolent , powerful spirit that fills her with love on one of
her many properties with 100 foot Blue spruces and a pond...
she thinks he hangs mostly in a certain tree.

Umm, Horace? That was some tree! Thank you,

I'm a Willow fan, nice pic, real cool tree.

Sit 15 mins with ya back to a decent sized peaceful tree and some kind of calm will come over you. You should ask though. You may even feel worse at first as you encounter a mini healing.

Oh so we are talking about our favorite trees now?

I really like maple, birch, oak, fir, spruce, juniper...I love a mixture of evergreen trees and deciduous trees that change colors during the Autumn months...

I also like Japanese cherry blossom trees...

Peach trees in bloom brings back nostalgia memories for me when my Grandma and Grandpa use to run their peach orchard farm...

the caustic tree reminds me of a story about a poison pond.
eventually dark dye was dropped into it to discourage bathers:

i don't know that i have a favorite tree-type.
Redwoods/Sequoia's are impressive.
Cherry Blossoms are famously beautiful. [see below]
Pine trees are a standout for me, but
their non-climbableness is a drawback.

I don't believe one needs to be psychic specifically to feel the 'vibe' of the tree. To hug a tree or to sit beneath one resting against its trunk, you are bathed in its energy.
I'm not sure how one would define it, other than to say it is the force of nature and above all a benevolent force.

Nobody should underestimate the joy, the spirit rejuvenating power of sunshine, of feeling the wind in your hair, of walking on the rolling hills or through a flower garden ...
These little things, we don't give due honour to, are the pearls of life.

Isn't that beautiful ... Now that perfectly illustrates the point. If you were standing beneath that canopy of pink blossom, how could you feel any other than joy?

its good to hear that others are into trees too. I agree that oak trees have a magical, healing energy. I def hug trees but as others have mentioned you can also just stand with your back on a tree and tap right into the tree prana. Standing barefoot on the earth (earthing) is nice too.
I my experience some trees do not want to connect. I think some trees are transmuting negative energy and it may be better to just send them a blessing in their work.
