Hello there!
Hello. This is my first time to join. Looking forward to meeting people. I joined mostly because I here voices that claim to be spirits and I'm trying to figure if it's true and how to improve the skill of hearing them. I was told by a spirit that some of voices I hear are self created what she refers to as masks, as in a mask that I create. I don't know. Just someone who's trying to get help to figure out what's happening. Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

"Voices" can indeed be self-generated. Or valid. But there are ways to determine the source. The techniques are generically called "spiritual discrimination"...I'd suggest you check for good authors on this topic.
Be careful who you get information from...some will instantly classify your experience as a mental disorder, like schizophrenia. Others will instantly put them in the "diabolical" category. These are "belief systems"...you don't need to be enslaved to them. But find someone who is solidly grounded to move forward with.

Greetings Voicesst and welcome to SF!
If the voice you hear is from outside of you, then there should be an energy signature with the voice. Also, the voice might sound different from your own. Another method is to cross examine a voice and see if you can catch it in a lie. What also works is to be sure you invite only beings who are of high vibes and from the Light. Always protect and ground yourself.
To hear them better, you can sit in silent meditation with the intent to hear them. You might get gibberish at first but as you improve, you'll start receiving information that should help you along your path.

Chrysalis, thank you for the advice. A lot of times I get a 6th sense of who's speaking to me and where they're at. I guess that's an energy signature. On rare occasion they're audible voice. Most of the time they're not audible, but not sure what the word is. Perhaps telepathic, or a thought blast? Thanks again!

When you hear words in your mind, or a thought blast, that's telepathy.
As for hearing audible voices, it's one of the clairs. It's specific name eludes me, atm. Maybe someone here can name it.

Sorry if this isn't the place to ask this. If not then I'll try to edit/remove it asap. Hi Ramanadisciple, you mentioned looking for a good author. I was wondering if you, or anyone here, has some books on spiritual discrimination they can recommend to help tell which voices are real and positive spirits? Thanks!
