By the same logic, Krishna and any random person are also the same.
As Krishna and any random person are same, so chanting "Krishna" gives the same effect as chanting any random person's name.

This is why I asked you the question.

But you replied that effect won't be same according to you. But this contradicts the above logic.

So you're saying that all is not One?

Namaste all,

Well, lord krishna is one of the most significant incarnation of lord vishnu(Narayana). His devotees believe that he is supreme being.

Nar & Narayana took turns in destroying his armors; when Nar would fight, Narayana would perform austerities to gain power to resurrect dead Nar, and vice versa. So Nar would break one armor, die because of the boon Sahasrakavacha had, Narayana would resurrect Nar, Nar would start his austerities for gaining power to resurrect Narayana and Narayana would start fighting Sahasrakavacha. 999 armors were thus destroyed and with his last armor left, Sahasrakavacha approached Sun god for protection. Nar & Narayana asked Sun god for Sahasrakavacha but Sun god refused to part with his devotee. Sahasrakavacha was reborn as son of Sun god as a human called Karna, along with his last remaining divine armor. Nar & Narayana followed him and took birth as Arjuna and Krishna. Arjuna killed Karna.

This is very interesting. Thank you for this, Kralaro.

As Krishna and any random person are same, so chanting "Krishna" gives the same effect as chanting any random person's name.

Really good question, my answer is this; Certain names and sounds are imbibed with divine energy. You could repeat `peteyzen` all day long and not raise your consciousness one iota (mind you my ego would love it!) but when you chant krishna or shiva or jesus or any other divine name or sound (such as Aum) then you are benefiting from the inherent raised energy and it in turn raises your consciousness. For those who do a lot of mantra you can actually feel it straight away.
I hope that helps answer the question

A rough version of another story I've read about Narayana:

Narayana was meditating and gods tried to disturb his mediation by sending apsaras to inspire him with passion. Narayana immediately created even more beautiful apsaras using his mystical power and offered to gods that they can take any one of those newly created apsaras with them to heaven.

it wasn't an actual question I needed answer to, I was arguing with Andre_C. Maybe you didn't properly read the context (previous posts).

Namaste and Hello Everyone,

Even I want to know more about Vaishnavism wherein I think Narayana or Vishnu is considered as almighty God.

Nārāyaṇa means the path or course of nara or man. The course of a man is in this universe which is his home. Hence Nārāyaṇa is often rendered as home of man. Nārāyaṇa represents all aspects of the universe, both tangible and intangible.
