Enlightenment is about dropping Ego to the depths where it belongs and walking in Compassion and Loving Mindfulness! When you realise that there is nothing to strive for or grasp at! When you learn that you are as Powerful as you are Insignificant! A Tiny but Mighty and Magnificent Piece in the Great Big Infinite Puzzle! Fitting exactly where it needs to be, perfect in its imperfections! :oD

Top ones:
-stop asking about it
-go "oh yeah" in a dismissive tone when the topic is brought up
-they stop looking forward to it when they realize the implications of what it really is

If one is enlightened then one is just being. Yes, there is divinity recognized in this, but who is recognizing it, the one that is said to be enlightened or the other seeing the divinity with in the person?

I agree, the one who is enlightened, usually don't go running around telling everyone their enlightened, its usually the one who isn't enlightened running around telling everyone what enlightenment is or isn't.

In my current view , enlightement is a condition almost freedom of emotion so if so he or she will never here to answer your question because he or she will have no desire to do so......

There's many signs, but the most that I see is humour, seeing life as nothing but a play, and realizing you are only an actor in that play, yes just have fun.

For me, who doesn't use that word...I would be so pleased to be aware
of the Divine Presence every day, every minute.

Boy, am I closer than I dreamed I would ever be this life!!!!

10 years ago I was caught up in worldly up and downs, emotions, what he and
she said, what they did to me, bla bla, that kind of nonsense...that my
happiness depended on others and my surroundings being they way I wanted them.

What a joke! I laugh....what freedom now!

Practicing the Presence is my "thing" now....whew, am I ever in joy and contentment and
into watching things manifest from my thoughts!

Now, to have my mind always centered on the Lord...ah...it is my state more and more
over the years...it is the only True Joy.

It only exists as information, much like enlightenment or anything else.

Hi revolver,

Can agree those that may be "enlightened" or just kind and loving don't go around bragging about, they just act in such manner(s).

When I see or in the presence of someone who is loving and kind or accepting, I feel this from the person without he/she doing anything more then being who they are.

I get what you are saying. Have another view to this. People have their identities (I do not exclude myself here) and with in these will express accordingly, IMO. Don't think it makes one unenlightened, just perhaps having another way of seeing. At times such views different from my own find to be very enlightening.
