It's funny 'cos it's true. It's also depressing because it's true, but I try not to dwell on it. I guess it really could be worse, as Churchill said, I mean I guess at least we're not living in fascist Germany or Communist Russia.

(Although blimey, I guess it's best not to take these things for granted )

I've come to the conclusion atm that voting just encourages them

Take, for example, the African jungle, the home of the cheetah.

On whom does the cheetah prey?

The old, the sick, the wounded, the weak, the very young, but never the strong.

Lesson: If you would not be prey, you had better be strong.

G. Gordon Liddy

When the rich rob the poor, it’s called business. When the poor fight back, it’s called violence - unknown

Awesome quote. Maybe i'm biased because i never thought voting made much difference either so i never did. I'm curious to who came up with that. Perhaps i'll see if i can look it up.

Mostly it seems attributed to Mark Twain but Snopes says not so (not that they're the font of all knowledge). I like to look up quotes before posting to make sure to who actually said it, so if in doubt unknown.

Funny, I was thinking the other day about what would happen if no one voted, that'd confuse them The people would be better off with local cooperatives imo, no central governments.

I like this quote, and there's recording of him actually saying it. Bruce Lee ^

That'd really **** off governments. They would feel they've lost their influence, power over us. I would imagine they'd get desperate and create some form of fear to get us to vote. Perhaps the threat of another world war would suddenly come up. I've thought about that too and hoped for it. Or if no one even watched the debates and were too busy out enjoying life to even care.

That's it, fear is what they use. If enough people decide and stick together things could change. Their funding needs cutting off too, which will create fear in them. The masses have more strength overall though because of numbers. We just don't utilise it atm.
