Cat seeing things...

My husband is currently in the hospital and I am not doing well. This morning, one of my cats keeps staring at seemingly invisible things. Sometimes she even moves her head as if she is tracking a moving object. Are the invisible things more likely benevolent, like angels, or evil spirits?

What is her body posture like? Does she have wide eyes, a plumed tail, or arching back? Or does she seem nervous? Hissing or spitting? There are no truly evil spirits, but there are those that are deeply troubled.

If the moving head and wide eyes is all you notice, most likely the energy is neutral at worst, or positive. My cat can see my spirit guide and gets a bit tense when his friends show up. It's not out of fear, but curiosity. :)

Perhaps a particularly powerful benevolent being of some kind? My cat stated wide-eyed at my guide for a good five to ten minutes when she first saw him. :)

Cats definitely do see far beyond our physical eyes. Last time cat of my friend was snorting for something behind me for some time, than started sniffing all my stuff and then suddenly jumped on me and fell asleep on my knees. I'm sure he saw some lost soul behind me at first but then felt my energy which made him trust me. I just knew what that was, kind of. As I see, you fear for your husband or something else makes you even more anxious and that is why "fearsome" energy surrounds you, which may draw that kind of spirits. Cats are our spirit caretakers since they are resonating on higher frequencies and she might have just been warning you.

Stay well

Back when i was around 14-15 years old, i was alone one night in my house, parents had gone on vacation without me. My cat would not only stare at this invisible entity, but chase it up and down the house, sometimes the lights would flicker too. I didn't doubt my cat, even though i couldnt really see or sense anything. Guess this was one of my earliest seeds that put me on the spiritual path im on today.

My cats are very sensitive....we've had a little activity in our home recently....and unfortunately it was scaring the cats.....except for one, he is fearless.....he yowls at them.....hisses.....follows me around and stays close.....my poor little girl gets so frightened and my youngest fellow....stays outside he becomes very skittish....but they aren't that old.......my oldest fella is 12 and quite experienced......for a long while when weird things happened like drawers being opened and stuff pulled out and banging cupboard doors etc i was blaming on the cat.....but my intelligence kicked in and i realised that cats can't open double tall boy drawers with knobs.....so now i know its not them......they are so very spiritually intune.....and sometimes i notice them looking above my head or over my shoulder......i know they see spirit......bless them

I've had my own cats, & did some fostering of cats as well. I like having cats in my home for protection. That's how I see them. They see what I cannot. Although I've been seeing some things as of late.

I miss having a cat around.

I hope you will feel better soon & I send loving light to your husband.

You could always try changing the "air" by fostering some kittens.... if your other cat allows it. They are funny! & demanding of our attention.

Hi Angnix, My cat does the same thing when there's energy around. Here's how I know the energy that may be around. If my cat senses a benevolent or unharmful energy, he just watches it and will sometimes "talk" to it. He doesn't seem scared or fearful, just curious.

If it's not of positive or loving energy (which rarely come around my house), my cat will bush out his tail, arch his back, his eyes get really big and he looks/feels fearful. I had one energy chase him and my poor kitty was booking ninety miles per hour up and down the stairs. When that happens, I calmly say a prayer, call in some Archangels to remove the energy and proceed to sage the house with White Sage.

I think in your case, you are being visited by loving, caring energies because they know your husband is in the hospital and you're not feeling well. I get the strong sense that you are being surrounded by these loved ones and healing energies to give you much needed strength at this time. Be not afraid, you are being cared for. Best wishes!
