This shud well be posted in the general forum aswell..only because more people need to open their eyes to animal cruelty/consumtion and most people who eat animals WONT snoop round a veggi forum.

I think its a serious contradiction that the majority of people on here consider themselfs spiritual (oness with all things, peace/love non-violence) but sumhow follow their gut rather then their intuition/mind and heart..financing the slaughter of thousands of animals to sustain one life (from a individual point of view).

I jost posted this vid on FB..Im expecting very few 'likes' and comments..ignorant masses :-(
health and happiness to all empaths/veggies/vegans :-)

Ung, its the same thing over and over again......

IF he is not an anthropoligist, archeologist, paleo nutritional expert and or ecologist, then its hard to take his word 100%, especially when he is vegan. The things that are never asked:

-more monocrop farms means less biodiversity, which means the land cant support anything.

- Eating a fully vegan diet, does mean less pasture land, but we need to eat more veggies then we would if we had meat, therefore the land use wouldnt change at all. It would stay the same and/or be worse.

- Growing vegetables the way we do, is one of the most environmentally destructive things we do. First, we use chemicals which leetch into the ground water, and we drink them. These also create dead zones in out lakes and rivers, killing plant and animal life there. Farms only allow what they grow to thrive, everything else, be that animal, plant or bacteria, beneficial or not, is wiped out.

-The reason why our digestive system (namley stomach) is so small, is because we needed a smaller digestive system to digest meat, rather then mostly plants. Our digestive systems are also a hybrid between carnivore, and herbavore. This means we arent meant to eat either or for a long period of time (say a few generations). This can be shown in the fossil record. Right after the inception of farming, humans became smaller, and more malnourished, because they digested way more grains then they previously did.

- "Save the animals" is always mentioned, and honestly I cannot disagree with this because we take them for granted, but we also do the same to plants, and also, the soil bourne organisms that make the earth livable. Current methods of farming, kill these beneficial bacteria. This si why we are LOOSING topsoil at a rate of something liek 5% a year. No topsoil, no plants, no food, no humans.

And what are your qualifications that give you any credibility on everything you've been saying here. Are you suggesting that by virtue of personal study and reading over a period of years, that expertise in an area cannot be attained? Interesting that you would say that especially as you're a meat eater.

Maybe if we get rid of the monocrops that feed the animals that you eat, we'll get more biodiversity. Then too, ranchers wouldn't be screaming for the heads of every predator animal that walks the face of the earth. As well that would also free up land so that more vegetables could be grown. And lets talk about the deadzones that result from the animal waste that continually leaches into the countries waterways and so on.

When people choose to go vegan and properly plan their food intake there is considerably more consciousness about what is going into the body than the average person who is more than willing to load up on all sorts of **** just for the sake of some momentary, gustatory sensation. We are definitely not taking anything for granted when it comes to our food, and we definitely aren't taking the animals for granted. After all, for a very many of us, they are the reason for our change of lifestyle.
