Astral Projection?

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and am very excited about this community! I'm the only person who does spiritual practices in my family, my family are very conservative Christians so im like the black sheep lol.

Anyway! I have sooo many questions about astral projection! I've been trying to learn how to lucid dream ever since I was about 13 (still have very rare success) and while doing research about Lucid Dreaming when I was about 15 I came across Astral Projection, ever since then ive been very interested in what that was all about (of course back when I was 15 I thought It was something evil and demonic because of the beliefs I was taught since birth) But I still did lots of research on it. When I was 17 really close to being 18 I had a spiritual awakening, although I do admit it was through the help of LSD (long story if you're interested contact me lol), and ever since then I decided I would try to give astral projecting a go. I'm now 19 and am just now starting to astral project after all the practice.

NOW, to my question! I recently had my first astral projection (I think at least?) I remember meditating into sleep, and then I remember falling asleep, after that I remember my eyes opening (although I know my bodies eyes were closed) and I saw a being standing beside my bed looking curiously at me, He had an orange/gold glow around him and his hair was golden, I don't exactly remember what he was wearing, but when I saw him I got scared and swung my arm at him and it went right through him and then I woke up with a jolt and my heart beating really fast and had heavy breathing. Later on I was thinking about that experience and was wondering if that could have been a guardian angel? I didn't feel a negative energy from him I was just scared because there was a being, next to my bed, and it was my first time seeing something like that so vividly.
I know almost nothing about the astral realm other than that if there are lower frequency beings to just send high frequencies towards them because then they have nothing to feed off of since they feed of off fear, so Im asking for some input on what this gold haired being I saw could have been, is there any cultural (Japanese, Native American, Indian, Arabic, etc) writings or description about such beings?
