can someone please give me advice or books about the best way to learn & discover things from my past life

A number of ways in which a "past life" become apparent to you in my experience are... being drawn to a particular time in history..A particular culture .. and surprisingly... Dreams...It is very instinctive to begin with and then it becomes intuitive.
The caveat being... Time is only linear to things that vibrate slower than light..Your consciousness lacks mass and there fore is not restricted by linear time... Subsequently your past lives , future lives and indeed this life are conjoined in the respect of consciousness. That is to say... Only your body is here now.

I second this. I have friends who took workshops from Patricia Walsh and their past life regression sessions showed many insightful lives.

If you are looking for books on how to theorize what your most recent past life was, I highly recommend Steven Forrester's Yesterday's Sky. You will need to know your natal astrology chart, but Steven's book makes it easy for even beginners to uncover past life theories with their natal chart.

I discovered my past life after reading Steven's book. The theories I discovered from his book triggered a memory to a spontaneously past life regression I had as a child, and from there I was able to do further research with clues from the PLR memory and discover who exactly I was.
