Hello Dar,

The dream question brings up the probablity that what really is , and what is real , are somewhat relative . I include the real possibility that some dreams
are windows to a level of our existence that transcends sleep/awake, even alive/dead

There is the deep blackness of timeless sleep that takes place when we are in a deep dreamless sleep. In this state , identity, existence seems irrelevent.
In scientific circles this is called the delta range of brain activity.A delta wave is a high amplitude brain wave with a frequency of oscillation between 0–4 hertz.
0 hertz is clearly nil brain activity aside from the automatic functions like breathing and heart beats along with cell regeneration. Anyway Nil Brain activity is what many physicians would call vegetitive or brain dead.
What is interesting to me , is that all of us (aside from chronic insomniacs possibly) go into this brain dead state , most commonly once every day.
Perhaps it is in that state we get a glimpse or idea of what it is to not exist.
