looking for reiki advice ....

About 20 year ago my brother in law lost his sense of smell in an
accident, he was hit in the back of the head and a bone in the
bridge of his nose (as theorized by his doctors at the time)
pinched a nerve thus disabling his ability to smell. He said in
the last 20 years about 4 or 5 times the sense suddenly returned
for about 15-20s ....

I gave him a quick reiki session on sunday (15-20 minutes) and he
actually regained a small amount of smelling ability.

Tried again on monday night for a good 45-50 minutes ... he
regained a good amount of smell, but only certain things and he
still needs to take a good wiff, but it is definitely improving.

Tried again last night, however no improvment, but for most of the
45 minutes he felt a huge amount of pressure on the bridge of his
nose, and I felt it as well ... he also said his whole body felt
numb, and he had visions of hands massaging his face as well as his
face breaking up into 7 vertical pieces and being stretched
outwards ... all good things that seem to sounds like things are
working so to speak.

However after last night's session no improvement ...

What I am wondering, is do you think the session needs to be longer
? Or would it take a few sessions like that to possibly remove that
blockage ? Or is it possible that it wont get any better than this,
even thought he feels all that stuff during the session ... like
the energy is trying but just not able to ? I feel as if there is
this one last big blockage to release ....

Would love to hear some thoughts on this ...

First you ask your brother to lie down on his back, face straight, up closed eyes and with both palms facing upward. Then you make sure he lays Comfortable (give him a blanket and a little pillow, make sure that there is absolutely quiet and there are no other in the room then you too).



You ask him to relax and let go, it’s important that he is relaxed and that his mind are too (If you could give him 5 min alone in the room, this would work) He has to be prepared to receive so ask him to prepare himself to be ready - make him focus on his breath.


When you come into the room (he has been there for 5 min alone) you have done all the preparation you use to, then you relax in front of him and mealy prepare yourself. Stand with your palms facing upwards and keep you focus on that you now are going to be a channel so energy can pass through you to your brother, try not to think of anything while doing the healing.


When you are ready lay your hands on his head as you use too.

Continue giving healing but don't look for obvious outcomes like the one you got - be content for the process to work in its own time. Something you might want to try is to fix the intent in your mind that the skull bones and nerve return to their natural state of being. Don't focus too hard on it, just make that a clear request and go with the flow as you work.

Has he still maintained the smell that he regained at first?

Most of it yes.

Ahhh, the forceful approach. Give a Reiki treatment and immediately check for a result. If not as wished for, repeat with more intensity for longer.

Does this sound like Reiki?

The manipulation of Qi can do some amazing things, but in general it needs time to work, so give it time to work.
I suspect that what you are doing is more like destroying the Qi work by interfering with it.

Work within the spirit of Reiki, that is all that is required.
