I think people go wrong with religion when they think of it as literal and physical truth. No religion is 100% literally true. However all religion is metaphorically and metaphysically true. Religious stories and lessons have an underlying metaphorical truth to them.
Atheism is not true in the same sense that religion is true. Atheism has no metaphysical belief and is totally centered on physicality and physical sciences. Therefor atheism is not a belief since you can not believe something that has already been proven fact and physical (atheists can not believe in science because it is physical). I believe atheism is a product of people losing sense of belief and the metaphysics. People are losing touch with metaphysics and religion because religious leaders are portraying religion as literal dogma as opposed to metaphorical.
I chose to observe metaphorical and metaphysical teaching from all religions and beliefs and find their common message. Anyone that feels this way can look up the Om shakthi movement here:
