Looking back, looking now.

Looking back, looking now
I see the depth of the journey's plough
Shifting, sorting, landing there
Exposing colours without a care

The opening up of skewed views in me
Lost in chaos, now I see
Some is cringe worthy
Most is pain
Love immersed
In chaotic strains

Looking back, looking now
I see the depth of journey's plough
Shifting sorting, landing there
Exposing colours without a care

In turning back the hands of time
Revisiting my inner shrine
I see the cause, the face of me
Caught up in life's
Greater need

Looking back, looking now
I see the depth of journey's plough
Shifting, sorting, landing there
Exposing colours without a care

That was me, in some strange way
Caught up in myself in play
Trapped by hands, greater than mine
A conditioned song
It longed to shine

Looking back, looking now
I see the depth of journey's plough
Shifting, sorting, landing there
Exposing colours without a care

I cant pretend it wasn't me
I can look at the whole
And simply be
A stark reminder
Of the wonderous ride
Of my human chaos
My inner divide

Looking back, looking now
I see the depth of journey's plough
Shifting, sorting, landing there
Exposing colours without a care

The present moment
It houses all
Every step
Of the life long call
Every movement stormed
And calm
Moving, shifting
Sorting as a balm

As a soothing release
A deeper calm
Emerging from
The earthly charm
The earthly traps
Of human's lead
Forging ways
To open seeds

Looking back, looking now
I see the depth of journey's plough
I see the depth of my entangled woe
The deeper rift of my heart seeking glow
Seeking to meet itself, seeking to ride
Through the chaotic mess
To the other side

Looking back, looking now
I see the depth of journey's plough
Shifting, sorting, landing there
Exposed and coloured
Without a care

Every colour ever moved
Shape and form
Was my muse
To deeper opening
To the door of soul
The empty vessel
That will now sow

In the now, no looking back
This present moment
Is in fact
What the past
What the plough
Serves to become
An open now

Now is all I have to be
Letting go of the past in me
Converging into a holistic merge
Of every pattern formed
It has served

It becomes the greater now
In me
Where everything released
Is free

No longer bound
No longer caught
No longer frowned
The end in me
I always fought

Clarity in the looking back
Clear blue skies
A wishing well
The penny drops
It lands and tells

Which side I am
In me to know
That greater life
Will surely flow

No longer needing to be there
Emptiness without a care
Worry concern of broken times
This new beginning
Is the developing shrine

In love and grace
In hope and dreams
To serve the greater
Life long stream

To serve itself as life in me
I listen move and
Ground this tree
Deep into this earthly shrine
Of mother/father
A union divine...

The ultimate value of life
Depends upon awareness
And the power of contemplation
Rather than upon mere survival - Aristotle
