Complete surrender

Behind the glass
Everything shatters
One million pieces
One million shards

Each one cuts so very deep
Each one cuts every part of you
Over flowing as every hue

Every colour, every sound ever made
Every light and every shade
Breaks the whole
There it lays

One million pieces
One million shards
This freedom never lasts

Sight unseen,
Broken dreams
Daylight hours
Form shattered streams

One million pieces
One million shards
This freedom never lasts..

Playing out the frames
One by one
I sit in this chain
Link by link it stares
As a surrendered mess
Without a care

One million pieces
One million shards
This freedom never lasts

This broken mess
My glass filled heart
As clear as day
Every feeling pulled a part

Shards that cut
Through all those chains
Sharp as nails
They forged the pain
A shattered mess surely gained

One million pieces
One million shards
This freedom never lasts

This wall of glass
I see so clear
The mess, the view
All so near

A song of freedom
Strikes the chord
Where human sides
Form the wall
The shattered glass
The mess, the view

One million pieces
One million shards
This freedom they say never lasts

One million pieces
One million shards
This freedom they say never lasts

This freedom sees the wall
Made of glass
It will simply fall
Melt away
Drift out to sea

One million ripples
One million trees
This freedom they say never lasts

But deep inside I know its me...

hi naturesflow well in your video they gave the girl a pen and she sang about giving in and being a clown, so I assumed she felt like she was 'signing' her life away just to get famous or whatever and avoid the gutters (signing as in signing a contract for what you will do and what you will get in return, or sometimes as in selling one's soul). Signing is a recurring theme in my own life and it just didn't even cross my mind you might not get the allusion!

Then I was like I so want to sign one of those things because on the surface it seems much better than mucking about alone! But, I know it would only be worse for me in the end! hence the little poem. hehehe....

ah that makes sense. I apologize, my prose/song thingy came through the melody and "only a few things shared in the video" itself. I wasn't tuning into the video fully as much as you were. Thankyou for explaining further, I understand now where you were coming from in your return poem.
