I'm currently reading Stephen Hawking's 'A brief history of time', so I can evaluate how science and spirituality coexist. Indeed, when we see ourselves as the universe rather than being separate to it - and without a Divine Creator - for me they complment each other so completely :)
As best as I understand it anyway - with it going into the theory of relativity and quantum mechanics!
The reason why I see them aligning so perfectly is that I don't believe in past lives or the afterlife. That we are each the universe having our own individual experience. So when we die, someone else is born. Where the universe can experience itself anew from their perspective - as I do from mine, and you from yours. That we as the universe are all intrinsically connected with us being the very fabric of existence itself.
Although I appreciate there is still so much to discover (both spiritually and scientifically) I really do find this so breath-takingly beautiful.
