Death and Dreaming of the departed

Hi,

I had read in several places that one might be able to contact a departed loved one more so on Oct 31, Halloween as it it is the time that we are in closest spiritual contact with the dead on that day.

I have lost many loved ones, but two especially changed my life when they passed. One was my mother and the other was my first love. I think about them often and miss them both every day.

On Oct 31 I found myself thinking of them both and spoke out loud to them. That if there was a way they could come to me in a dream that I'd know they knew I was thinking about them and could hearm me. I hoped that night I would dream about one or the other but I did not.

However last night, I had a dream with not one but both of them in it. Pleasant dreams. Dreams that made me feel like we were all back together again. It felt real, it felt right, and while certain details are a bit fuzzy this morning, I felt a lot of emotion waking up from that dream. I didn't want it to end yet.

I have had random dreams with either one or the other in them before, but this one flet really special. Like a "together again" sort of feeling.

Do you believe this was them hearing and answering me from a few days back? Has anyone else ever had a similar experience. It felt very special and it reminded me even more as to how much I miss them in my life.

It is relatively common to receive 'dream visions' (from a loved one), most usually after the person has recently passed over. These are usually highly personalized. The point being, only you and they would understand. It's a way of the person letting their loved one know they're still out there.

Then there are signs - clocks and birds are most often involved. The analogy is obvious.

As for yours, we travel to the astral in our sleep. So yes, maybe you truly did meet with them in spirit....

Take comfort that they are still 'there'; alive, safe and well, merely living in a different realm. And you will be together again some day, when your 'time' comes. Until then, learn, grow, serve and be happy.

Most assuredly, it was your loved ones. Try not to doubt yourself. It dilutes the experience somewhat.

Yes, I suppose trust yourself and your intuition. That is what I had to learn. I actually saw my friend the other night while in an altered state and people responded on this forum that it could very well be a trickster spirit but I was fully conscious and its the strong positive emotions that made me realize that it was him. They do hear us and they have to find the right moment to weave themselves in our dream. I imagine you were very lucid in this dream.

Thank you all. My dreams often feel like a parralel universe to me, like it's real but somewhere else. I like to think that it is a hint of what awaits me in the afterlife someday. I hope to see them again when I do.
