Watching the thoughts - subtle headache
Hi forum,
Watching the thoughts creates a subtle headache. Do you know why?
How to avoid it?
Thanks,

Hi NH,
I don't know. In this article they mention this problem (search "headache")
http://www.gurusfeet.com/blog/stoppi...ng-no-conflict
My goal is not stopping thinking, it is to accept and forgive whatever thought I have by believing that it is not my fault (which I believe yes). But mind stops yes although not my purpose.
Thanks,
3dnow

Had a quick read 3D my gut feeling & my own experiences are that when first entering into a new practice like this, it may be a bit mechanical in getting it started until cognition sets in. When the practice becomes second nature the effort ceases, just my feelings & good luck :)

Hi 3dnow
Acknowledge the headache for what it is, a barrier between what you think and what you think you should think because of other people's version of the truth!
What can you remove the easiest?
Right now, what you think you should think.
Then just allow your thoughts!
Even Budhist meditation tells you to allow your thoughts!
Let them in and acknowledge that they're there, they have a purpose.
A meditation isn't wrong if it's filled with your thoughts!

Then allow your mind!
This is your journey, make your own choices!
You will do this with regards to how you feel and what resonates!
Accept the guidance and walk your own path!
If we were to all walk the same path, we'd all be called one name!
Your mind may quit it's chatter, it may not!
You will be however!
Love and hugs

I just think that your mind is not used to observing thoughts. That is why you are getting a headache. It's something new to you. The headaches will go away. You are building new pathways in the brain. New connections. The pathways in your brain are changing. The headaches will go away. I just think you are not used to observing thoughts.

Are you remembering to drink adequate water? I always get a headache when I don't drink enough water, especially in the summer time when it's hot. Simple but practical suggestion....
